DFX currently tracks 21,482 advisor moves between firms over twelve months, 4,512 advisor moves in the latest quarter and 504 team lift-outs in the latest quarter in the Advisor Movement Dataset, as of 15 September 2026.

## Limitations

- The historical movement record holds only moves by people still registered today, so older windows understate.
- A move is a registration change; the advisers' assets that moved with them are not public and are never estimated.
- A team is inferred from dates, firms and branch states under the printed rule, not from a team roster, and corporate re-registrations (25 or more people to one new CRD in a month) are excluded.
