The Atlanta growth investor filed before taking in any money, which its last two funds did not. Its four previous funds each ended larger than the one before, from $93 million in Fund II to $372 million in Fund V.
The onsite solar and storage procurement platform raised an $11 million Series A led by Origin Ventures. DFX's records show at least three of its nine other named investors backed the company before, and a round sized like Origin's earlier Series A leads.
