On 18 Mar 2025 a KRX matching-system fault stopped execution of all KOSPI trades from 11:37 to 11:44 KST, reportedly the first market-wide KOSPI halt since KRX was formed in 2005. KRX blamed a logic conflict between self-match-prevention and newly introduced mid-point orders; the FSS opened an inspection.
