Change history
- 2026-10-04Rewritten around the Data Factory: a subscription license to DFX intelligence, how source, derived and inferred data differ, export and redistribution rules, prohibited regulated uses (FCRA), uploaded data, partner network editions, and the current 7-day free trial and auto-renewal terms. The General's sections are carried forward unchanged in substance.
- 2026-07-28Covered earned autonomy, proactive missions, memory, receipts, compliance settings, and referral programs for The General.
- 2026-10-04Adds a notice for professionals whose information appears in the DFX intelligence database, describes DFX as the controller of that database, discloses that subscriber access may be a sale under some state laws and offers everyone an opt-out, adds a request form, a cookie inventory, a retention schedule, and state-law disclosures.
- 2026-08-11Covered The General, the browser extension, recordings, and lead capture.
- 2026-10-04Clarifies that the DPA covers data customers upload (contact lists, CRM files, connection exports) and data The General processes for them, and not the DFX intelligence database, for which DFX is the controller. (Not a material change.)
- 2026-07-28First version.
- 2026-10-04First standalone version for the Data Factory affiliate program.
How we change these documents
We do not ask you to re-accept an edit that changes nothing for you. When a change does matter, this is the notice we give.
| Kind of change | What we do |
|---|---|
| Typos, formatting, clarifications that do not change a right or obligation | Update the page and its last-updated date. No notice. |
| A new data source category, vendor category, or product feature already within the described practices | Update the page and the change history. No individual notice. |
| A change that expands what we collect, how we use or disclose personal information, or narrows a customer right | Bump the version, email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect, and show an in-product notice. |
| A change to fees, renewal, cancellation, liability, or dispute resolution | Bump the version, email account holders at least 30 days ahead, and apply it at the next renewal; ask for fresh acceptance at next sign-in or checkout. |
| Using personal information already collected for a materially different purpose | Obtain consent where the law requires it before doing so. |
