On 6 Oct 2026 a data-centre failure at shared IT provider Accenture TiGital (ex-ARZ) took down online banking, apps, card payments and payment traffic for about 30 Austrian banks including the Volksbank and Hypo sectors and bank99. The operator cited a power-supply fault (Volksbank Wien said it happened during maintenance) and said the outage lasted from 12:00 to 20:00 local; it was not a cyberattack.
