Questions

Direct answers

The answer first, the reasoning underneath. Including the questions we would rather not be asked.

What is the General?

An autonomous AI operator made by DFX Intelligence. You give it an outcome rather than a prompt; it decides the steps and does the work across the open web, email, a phone line, social accounts and your CRM, then continues on its own schedule. It is not a chatbot and it is not a workflow builder.

How is it different from the AI assistant I already use?

An assistant answers and stops. The General is measured by whether the work got done. It opens a browser, reads sources, finds people, writes messages, files results in your CRM and picks the job back up the next day without being re-prompted.

What does it cost?

The General is $20/month (1 person). General Pro is $199/month (1 seat). General Teams is $499/month (Unlimited seats). Usage is metered on top of the plan fee, so a heavy month costs more than a quiet one. Annual is ten times monthly, so two months are free.

Will it email or call people without asking me?

Not by default. Anything that would reach a real person stops at an approval queue. You can keep it on drafts only, approve each item, or release a class of action once you trust it, and you can change that at any time. One control stops everything.

Does it need access to my passwords?

For browser work in the Chrome tier, no. It acts inside the sessions you are already signed into, so your credentials for those sites never pass through DFX. Where you do connect a system directly, credentials are stored encrypted and are never displayed back in the browser. Banks, brokerages and payroll sites are blocked in the extension's own code rather than by a policy.

Is my business's data used to train models or shared with other customers?

No. Each workspace is isolated, and your General only ever knows your business. Nothing in this section of the site, including our published research, uses any customer data: the research is generated by running our own measurements against public AI systems.

How long does it take to get running?

One conversation, working the same day. There is nothing to migrate and no workflow to build. You brief it the way you would brief a new hire and connect the inbox, calendar and CRM you already use.

When should I use something else instead?

If you can draw the flowchart, build the flowchart: a workflow automation tool will be cheaper and more reliable. If you only need one task done on one website, a browser agent is faster and costs less. If all you want is a searchable archive of your calls, a dedicated notetaker is better at that and cheaper. And if your deals turn on live human judgement in the first conversation, hire the person.

What are its actual limits?

It is not a fit for work that needs a licensed professional to sign it. It drafts; it does not certify. Browser work depends on the sites you are signed into. If a site's session expires, that job stops and asks you rather than guessing. Banks, brokerages and payroll sites are blocked in the Chrome extension's own code, not by policy. It cannot be pointed at them. Outbound sending inherits the deliverability of the mailbox you connect. It does not fix a domain with no authentication records. It is not the cheapest option. If your requirement is one narrow repetitive task with a stable interface, a point tool or a script will cost less and this will be over-specified. Usage is metered on top of the plan fee, so a month of heavy work costs more than a quiet one.

Is DFX Intelligence the same company as DFX Holdings Group or Deal Flow Xchange?

DFX Intelligence is the operating brand for the General platform. It is not affiliated with DFX Holdings Group, with Deal Flow Xchange, or with any audio-processing product using the DFX name. The official website is dfxintel.com.

The longer, dated version of all of this is the canonical record, and the pricing notes it is generated from are: Usage is metered on top of the plan fee. A heavy month costs more than a quiet one. Annual is exactly ten times the monthly price, so two months are free. Seats are free on every tier. Pro and Teams differ by the seat and workspace ceiling, not by a per-seat charge. Try it for 30 days. If it is not for you, tell us and we refund your first month in full. That is the plan fee, not the usage you have already run.
