How do I stop doing CRM data entry after every call?

A single task, answered directly.

Short answer

Connect the CRM you already use. The General writes what it did into it as the work happens, with the evidence attached, so the record reflects the work rather than somebody's memory of it at the end of the day.

Before you start

  • The CRM you already use, connected. This writes into your system rather than replacing it, so there is no migration step.
  • Some agreement about which fields matter. It writes accurate records into whatever structure you have; it does not invent a structure for you.

Steps

  1. 1Connect the CRM to the workspace.
  2. 2The General writes interactions it ran as they happen, with the evidence attached to the record.
  3. 3It reads the CRM as well as writing to it: what is stale, what went quiet, what has no owner.
  4. 4Work it generates from that reading is queued the same way anything else is, with approval where a person is involved.

How you know it worked

A record in your CRM carries what happened, when, and the artifact it came from, without anyone having typed it. Open a contact after a call and the interaction is already there.

What this does not do

Stated here rather than discovered later

  • It writes what it observed. It cannot reconstruct history it was not present for, so it will not backfill the last two years.
  • It does not reorganise your CRM. A system with no schema discipline gets accurate records into a messy structure, which is an improvement but not a fix.
  • It is not a second CRM. If you are looking for a system of record to move to, this is the wrong product.
