Family offices that filed a new investment vehicle in the last twelve months, from the vehicle’s own SEC filing, most vehicles first. On this record, an office that stood up a vehicle went on to stand up another within six months about 24% of the time, against under 1% for all offices: momentum in the filings, not a forecast that it will invest.
Vehicles tied to an office only through a shared principal are left out; they are often the principal’s other businesses.
