Co-investment
A co-investment is a direct, usually minority, investment in a single company made alongside a lead investor such as a private equity sponsor, outside the sponsor's main fund. Limited partners seek co-investments to put more capital into deals they like, typically with a reduced management fee and carried interest or none. In venture capital the term is used more loosely for investors that join the same financing round.

On the venture graph a co-investor relationship is two investors seen on the same round or company, counted from the deals on record; family office profiles score co-investment propensity from their own investment record.
