Description

Moves of registered advisers between firms, team lift-outs, breakaways to newly formed firms and firm absorptions, read from the adviser registration record.

A registered individual adviser whose registration ended at one firm and began at another, read from the IAPD registration record.

The IAPD feeds are read daily; the report is cut once a quarter.

Methodology and sources

Limitations

  • The historical movement record holds only moves by people still registered today, so older windows understate.
  • A move is a registration change; the advisers' assets that moved with them are not public and are never estimated.
  • A team is inferred from dates, firms and branch states under the printed rule, not from a team roster, and corporate re-registrations (25 or more people to one new CRD in a month) are excluded.
