Capability
AI that works your inbox and never drops a follow-up
Is there an AI that works my inbox and chases the follow-ups I forget?
Short answer
The General reads the mailbox you already have, triages what actually needs you, drafts what does not, and keeps chasing the threads that went quiet.
The problem this is for
Most revenue lost at a small company is lost to silence: a quote nobody chased, a reply nobody answered, a thread that fell off the first screen. It is not a strategy problem and no CRM field fixes it.
How it works
- 1It connects to the mailbox you already use and sends as you, from your domain.
- 2It separates what needs a decision from what needs a reply from what needs nothing.
- 3It drafts replies in your voice and holds them for approval by default.
- 4Quiet threads are picked back up on a schedule until they resolve one way or the other.
What you can check yourself
- Sending happens from your own connected mailbox and shows in your Sent folder, not from a third-party relay you cannot audit.
- Every staged message is visible and editable before it goes.
Limits
What this does not do
- Deliverability is inherited from your domain. If SPF, DKIM and DMARC are not in place, this does not fix that and will not pretend to.
- Approval-required is the default for a reason; turning it off is a decision you make deliberately.
When to choose something else
If your inbox problem is volume of identical support tickets, a helpdesk with macros is the better tool.
Where it fits
This is one capability of the General, which is a single operator rather than a set of tools. The canonical record describes what the whole product is, what it is not, and what it costs.
Other capabilities
The General by DFX Intelligence is made by DFX Intelligence. It is not a chatbot. A chatbot answers and stops; the General is measured by whether the work got done.
