Connect your AI agent or code to DFX
DFX has a free remote MCP server and a read-only JSON API. Point any MCP client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code) at the address on the For AI agents page and it can search and research the graph with no key. Keys for your own agents come with every membership and a free account, on the same allowance as the website; agent fleets, embedding and redistribution are an Enterprise agreement.

- Open For AI agents (/agents) and copy the MCP address under Connect over MCP.
- Add it to your MCP client as a remote server (Streamable HTTP). No key and no sign-up are needed for the free tier.
- Ask it a question: the research tool plans the reads and answers only from cited claims.
Keys and limits
- Keyless answers name the first rows of a list and count the rest, as the website does for a reader without an account.
- A key lifts that to your plan: create one on your account page under API keys. Keys share your plan's allowance with you.
- Enterprise: by agreement, for agent fleets, embedding, redistribution and negotiated terms.
Documentation
The developer docs (/agents/docs) cover connecting a client, API examples in curl, Python and TypeScript, how research continues an investigation, the evidence schema, and membership limits.
