Press Suggest a correction under the profile's name. Say what is wrong and where the right value is published. A person checks it against the source; nothing is changed automatically.

- Open the profile and press Suggest a correction, in the header under the record's actions. The form opens with the profile's link filled in.
- Keep Correct something on a profile chosen, and under What is wrong, and what should it say? describe the error and where the correct value is published.
- Press Send request. A person checks it against the source and replies to the email you gave.
- No profile link to hand? Leave it empty and give the name and firm; the team finds the record.
- On an independent sponsor record, Is this your firm? Correct this record does the same job for the sponsor's own facts.
- Some profiles also offer to claim the profile (Is this you? Claim your profile). Claiming is not open to every reader yet; until it is, Suggest a correction is the way to fix your own profile.
- The same form handles opt-outs and removals: Remove my profile, or Do not sell or share my information.

- Where the data comes fromPublic and regulatory records: federal regulator filings, federal program data, state registries, county and municipal records, securitised debt reporting, court dockets, firm and issuer disclosures, news and newswire, and industry directories. Every fact shows its source.
- Confidence, evidence and scoresDFX states how it knows each thing rather than hiding it in one number: an evidence tier, a match basis, and a stated breakdown for any score. A candidate or inference is labelled as one.
- Why information is missingAbsence of information is not absence of activity. DFX shows what public records show; a firm that has not filed, a deal that was not announced, or a field a regulator does not collect will not appear. Masked names are a plan limit, not missing data.
