Searching for a firm, person, fund or property
Type a name into the header search (from two letters) to jump to a record. Press Enter for the Search page: a best match, results grouped by kind, and Show all results as a table with filters and export.
Search covers every published name and alias on the private capital markets, collapsed to one row per identity (with the other markets it also appears on), plus real estate organisations and property addresses. Results are grouped: Firms and managers, Registered advisers, Funds, Private credit vehicles, Allocators and consultants, People, and Companies with a similar name. Records such as a credit facility, a fund holding, a family office investment, an allocator commitment or an advisor team move are listed after the entities.
Which search to use
- You know the name: the header search, or a market's own search box (for example Firm name on Private Equity Firms, Name or CRD on RIA Firms, Name or IAPD number on RIA Advisors).
- You know the kind of record you want (Texas family offices that back sponsors): the market's directory and its filters.
- You have a question rather than a name (which lenders financed HVAC deals in Florida): Ask DFX.
No results?
- Try the shortest distinctive part of the name, without Inc, LLC, Partners or Capital.
- If names are masked on your plan, name search inside a market's list is locked, because a match would reveal the name. The header search still works.
- DFX covers what public records show. A firm that has never filed with a regulator or been named in a deal may not be here yet.
