What the Data Factory is
The DFX Data Factory is one intelligence graph of private capital, companies and real assets, built from public records and joined across nine markets. Every figure carries its source and its date.
DFX reads public and regulatory records (SEC filings such as Form ADV and Form D, Form 5500 benefit plans, BDC schedules of investments, CMBS and FHA loan tapes, property and permit records, board minutes, announcements and more), resolves the people and institutions in them into one identity each, and connects them: who owns what, who lent to whom, who advises whom, who committed to which fund, and what changed and when.
The nine markets
- Independent Sponsor Intelligence: Find independent sponsors buying businesses, and the capital financing them.
- Private Equity Intelligence: See which firms are buying, who they back, and who their money comes from.
- Venture Capital Intelligence: Follow the firms, the rounds and the people behind them.
- Family Office Intelligence: Find the offices that actually invest in your strategy, and the people who decide.
- RIA and Wealth Intelligence: See which advisory firms are moving, hiring or losing teams before the market notices.
- Private Credit Intelligence: See who is lending, to whom, and what the marks say about the loan.
- Allocator Intelligence: Find the institutions that commit to strategies like yours, and who advises them.
- Real Estate Fund Intelligence: See the managers, the vehicles and the assets behind them.
- Real Estate Intelligence: Find the owner, the debt against the asset, and what is coming due.
How it is organised
- Entities: firms, funds, advisers, people, companies, properties, loans, allocators. One institution is one identity even when it appears in several markets.
- Relationships: financed, advised, committed to, owns, works at, co-invested with. Each is dated and sourced.
- Events: a dated thing that happened (a deal, a filing, a move, a maturity scheduled).
- Signals: a detector's reading of events that says something may matter now. A signal is a reading, not a fact.
- Anomalies: values or patterns that stand out against comparable records. Where to look, never a conclusion.
The Data Factory and The General are different products
The Data Factory is the data: you search it, read records and ask it questions. The General is DFX's AI business operator that does work for a company (outreach, inbox, meetings, deliverables). They are sold separately. The General's help lives at /general/support.
